so today, i spend the day thinking it was monday, since rob had the day off yesterday. so instead of going to therapy like i’m supposed to on tuesday’s, i went to pick up kalin and took the girls to play for a few hours at peekaboo. i was grateful that they had each other to play with as it gave me an opportunity to knit. after that, we drove kalin back home, just in time for kiah to get off the school bus. the girls played outside a bit while brett went to pick up his food from the farm. i snapped a few fun pictures while they were playing on the rope swing and running around.

kiah really shows interest in taking pictures, so i spent some time showing her the nikon and how to use it. she snapped some shots while i snapped some shots of her. notice how she has a hard time closing the one eye? hehe, what a sweetpea!

ella and i decided to go for a walk across the street when we got home to try and snap some pictures. it was a little dark so i didn’t have good luck with lighting, but here are a few shots that i thought came out ok.

not too bad for today. i’m desperately hoping i can find some time to just go out and snap pictures without having to run errands or drag a 4 y/o around. time is hard to come by!

tonight: catching up on house and knitting.

on thursday, renae and i took the kids to green light studio to play. this place is great for kids and moms. it has a really nice little cafe area, with delicious homemade foods. and the play area for the kids is nice and open so moms can relax and enjoy some free time, but always keep an eye on the kiddos. ella and serenity spent a lot of time playing dress up which i really enjoyed taking pictures of. here are my 2 favorites of those. after that we took the kids back to play at renae’s house for a bit. they played in the street and brought us flowers. which is my other favorite picture from thursday.

on friday i snapped a very crooked picture of our yard. but i like it.

on saturday, my mom and i stopped into a really cute shop in casco that had tons of awesome crafts and home decor. trying to focus on light, i snapped these few pictures of some of the window decorations.

i’m starting to enjoy cooking on sunday’s. i made a tortilla soup for the crockpot and used up our apples in an apple crisp. yummy! we also went out and got some pumpkins and mums for the yard!

today, we went shopping for ella’s birthday, which is this weekend. i can’t believe i have a 4 year old! i haven’t been out with my camera yet so i’m not sure what today holds as far as photo opportunity! we shall see. if nothing, here is a picture of my cute little bean before school today! photographically, nothing special tho. just a snapshot. :)

ps – the single images are supposed to be aligned in the center, but it doesn’t appear to be working. it took me days to find a gallery plug in that i liked… and now it doesn’t do certain things. argggg!

so i’ve already failed at my goal of taking an interesting picture a day for the rest of the year. but i’ve made it ok because tomorrow is october 1st! and i’m obsessive about starting things on the first of something… first of the month, first of the week, whatever. sooooo, starting tomorrow, i intend to take and post at least 1 image a day for the rest of the year. goal? to improve my photography eye and my photography skills. go me!!
